For today’s post, I would like to share some photos from The Big Weekend held in Publika, Solaris Dutamas weeks ago. Oh, no, no… this is not a paid article or any kinds of  advertisement.

On my list of favorite stores to buy household stuff – BIG is the number one then comes IKANO.

BIG – stands for Ben’s Independent Grocer is not an average grocery store.  In BIG, you could not find rotten imported cheeses like in other hypermarkets and stores. The seafood, meats and veggies are fresh too.  They know what they’re doing.

The atmosphere is very pleasant – well organized, nice and unique interior and concept and they don’t play boring, sleepy kind of music.  I’m very happy that such a store like this exists- and I’m super duper happy that it is nearby my place – Publika, Solaris Dutamas. Oh well, I’m hooked!

On the weekend of May 26 & 27, Ben held a BIG weekend, a two day ”feastival” at Publika where there was a series of cooking demos and sampling sessions of meat, wines, sushi and more, as well as musical performances.

The event kicked off on Saturday morning with a giant serving of Nasi Lemak. Too bad I did not manage to spend more time there. I wished that  event like this happens every month. How awesome!  - wink-
